Welcome to my Bio.
Hi. I’m Diana.
I was born in the coastal state of Sinaloa, Mexico and have since then maintained the tradition of living near the ocean in Southern California and soon Northern California. I am a transitioning student. This last spring, I graduated with a Physics BSc from California State University Northridge (CSUN) where I studied the early stages of planet formation and this fall I will begin a career as a PhD student at University of California Santa Cruz (UCSC).
I was first formally introduced to astronomy in 5th grade, where we learned about the eight planets orbiting around our very own Star and, like many, I instantly fell in love. And now, a little over a decade later, here I am, pursuing my dream of becoming an astronomer.
I love studying, writing, reading just about anything, watching documentaries, going on infinitely long walks during sunset, and petting neighborhood cats!
